Home Affairs give extension but for Zimbabweans with paperwork already

South Africa’s department of Home Affairs is being urged by the Zimbabwe Exiles Forum to clarify their position on the deportation of Zimbabweans.

This issue has been ongoing for years and there doesnt seem to be a solution coming.

The department held a presser earlier this week and announced that it has finshed adjudicating the applications for permits under the Zimbabwe Documentation Project and says a one month grace period (till end of August) will be given, to allow successfull applicants to collect their paperwork.

But everyone still remains confused as to what this means for those who do not yet have all their paperwork in place, will they be deported or given an extension as well?
